Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) President, Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag, delivered yesterday, April 22, 2024, at Plaza Antonino, Brgy. Kaparangan, Orani her “Ulat 2024”.
Dr. Matibag shared the achievements and milestones of BPSU for the past year under her leadership, geared towards the betterment of every Peninsular and BPSU’s workforce.
Dr. Matibag laid out the “7-Point Development Agenda of the University President,” which consist of:
Revitalizing BPSU’s flagship course programs and strengthening the performing ones
Establishing BPSU as a primary talent feeder and connector for local startup ecosystems
Enhancing scientific productivity in all BPSU units/colleges/campuses
Increasing BPSU’s capacity to absorb more senior high school graduates in Bataan
Improving revenue generation and resource management
Creating a more responsive community involvement and increasing connections
Creating a more sustainable and supportive environment for the faculty, employees, students, and alumni
Gov. Jose Enrique S. Garcia III expressed his appreciation to the university and their other partners who have assisted PGB in strengthening, developing, and paving the way for BPSU’s future, a vision initially conceived by former Gov. Tet Garcia’s vision. Gov. Joet Garcia also shared that he has been continuing this legacy as he strongly believes that education is an important and integral part in achieving and realizing the aspirations in life of the youth.
Furthermore, Gov. Joet also sought assistance from BPSU regarding the nearly-completed Tourism Multi-Purpose Building that can provide a space for incubation and startup community in Bataan, where BPSU takes the lead.
